Government Employees from different government agencies in the Municipality of Trento commemorates the 120th Philippine Independence Day on Jun 12, 2018 at DOP Park Activity Area remarking the nation’s independence from the Spanish Rule on June 12, 1898.
Mr. Alberto M. Salas, Municipal Administrator of LGU Trento, read the History of the Philippine Independence which was followed by a Prelude to the Philippine National Anthem performed by the Trento National High School.
A ceremonial hoisting of the Philippine Flags and Canon Singing of Lupang Hinirang was spearheaded by Municipal Mayor William E. Calvez and Municipal Vice Mayor Felimon S. Marte together with the other government agencies representatives.
Subsequently, a message for the most significant date in the Philippine History was given by Hon. Calvez where it marks the nation’s independence on June 12, 1898 and followed by a series of presentations performed by the Trento Central Elementary School, Trento West Central Elementary School and Father Saturnino Urios College of Trento Inc.
For the finale, a “Bayan Ko” song was contributed by the attendees signifying solidarity in the celebration of the 120th Philippine Independence Day .
