The KALAHI CIDSS NCDDP of the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Local Government Unit of Trento conducted the Municipal Talakayan, “Trentohanon: Tana! Mag-istoryahanay ta!” to increase local stakeholders’ awareness of development status in the municipality, to provide a venue for systematic face-to-face feedback from stakeholders, and to promote the use of information at the local level to support better planning and reporting of outcomes, on March 16, 2018 at R.M. Billanes Gymnasium.
The event was attended by the DSWD Regional Personnel, Local Officials from Municipal and Barangay level , employees from LGU of Trento, Civil Society Organization, and the SIKAP, Inc. as the Service Provider,
After the Prayer and singing of the Philippine National Anthem, Hon. Edgar C. Abiao, ABC President, started the program thru welcome remarks.
Mr. Alexander C. Zambrano, Jr., Monitoring and Evaluation Officer III of Kalahi CIDSS NCDDP, opened up the preliminaries and the overview of the talakayan which was followed by a series of session reported by the different persons assigned.
For session 1, Mr. Anastacio C. Burdeos, MPDC of Trento, presented the Municipal Profile and the Development Status of the Municipality. For session 2 that focused on the Summary of Development Needs, Interventions and Gaps was presented by the Ms. Christime H. Ampon, Executive Director of SIKAP, Inc.
Hon. William E. Calvez, CE, Municipal Mayor, presented the Municipal Development Agenda-Plans and Activities for the coming year. During his presentation, he encouraged everyone to participate especially on the development of the municipality.
Subsequently, the participants were instructed to participate on the gallery walk and to the Focus Group Discussion that will talk about the suggestions, recommendations and possible solutions for the problems encountered on the grassroots level.
Last part of the program was giving of certificate to every barangay for the participation and cooperation exerted in the implementation of KALAHI CIDSS NCDDP Projects.
