The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Regional Office represented by Regional Director Brielgo O. Pagaran and the DTI Provincial Office represented by Ms. Brenda Corvera, launched and turned-over the Negosyo Center to the Local Government Unit of Trento on September 25, 2017, at the Municipal Government Complex, Trento, Agusan del Sur.
OIC Corvera deliberated the purpose of the Negosyo Center which will be responsible for promoting “ease of doing business and facilitating access to services for MSMEs within its jurisdiction’’, such as: a) Business Registration Assistance, b)Business Advisory Services, c) Business Information and Advocacy, d) Monitoring and Evaluation, and e) such other functions that may be assigned by the MSMED Council to RA 10644 and other related laws.
Municipal Mayor, William E. Calvez extended his gratitude to DTI for putting Negosyo Center in Trento because it helps not only the constituents of Trento but of other people from neighbouring towns.
Regional Director Pagaran conversed on the possible programs that LGU Trento can benefit especially on the livelihood of the constituents. He also mentioned that he will visit once a month in the Negosyo Center to monitor the procedures and the business within.
DTI Regional Director Pagaran, Provincial Office OIC Corvera, Municipal Mayor Calvez, and the Manager of Enterprise Bank as members of Agusan del Sur Chamber of Commerce have had signed the Memorandum of Agreement for the Negosyo Center.
To signify full support of the Negosyo Center, all attendees were requested to sign the board of commitment.
