The Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) in partnership with the Municipal Government of Trento launched the Tech4ED (Technology for Economic Development) Center which aims to harness ICT to empower the netizens on basic digital literacy towards economic development.
Municipal Mayor William E. Calvez, CE, expressed optimism as Trento is the first municipality in Agusan del Sur with Tech4ED Center which could help Trentohanons meet government services conveniently with the use of the Internet.
Engineer Lawrence Salang, Team Head of DICT Agusan del Sur, gave an overview of the Tech4ED Platform and at the same time elaborated the Operation and Testing of the Center.
Honorable Edcil Marie Pagayon also conveyed her gratitude as the Tech4ED Center would bring big impact to the development of Trento in terms of employment, education, direct government services in rural communities and access to special content.
Mayor Calvez and Engineer Salang led the cutting of ribbon of the Tech4ED Center located at the second floor of the Municipal Hall.
